Bogner UberSchall

Hey guys, some of you may know i'm getting a triaxis for dirt cheap.. one of the versions 2's.. pretty new also. I was thinkin about it, and if i just sold it after i got it, i could have enough funds for a bogner!!! Well, i'd have to sell a couple other things too, but then i should have enough. I listen to a few clips of the bogner uberschall.. they sound insane.. what would you guys choose? the uberschall or the triaxis?

Personally, the uberschall by a long way. I'm not a fan of the mesa rack stuff.

It depends on what your needs/wants are. The Uber is one of the great amps out there for modern rock. The Triaxis combines real tube overdrive with rack versatility.

Since you brought up the Uber, I assume that you're looking for crushing gain with a tight bottom. For that, the Uber is probably more your thing than the Triaxis.

Neither one is necessarily my bag but I'm inclined to agree with Seafoamer.

i say keep the mesa, and learn what you like about midi preamps, and YOUR tone. it will teach you, even if it is a mesa.

Personally I'd get an Ecstacy 101b with the money... The Uberschall has more gain than anyone thought was possible out of a tube amp (sounds killer though) and is loud enough to shatter glass, start small fires and possibly eliminate the possibility of HolyDirt Jr's runnin around one day.

Try the Triaxis. REALLY put it through it's paces. if you don't like it sell it and aim for a 101B or an Uber. Try both amps about before you sell though as these are the best of the best in modern tube amps, and the Ecstacy in particular is VERY versatile. Basically just know how to work your gear and know what you're listening for.
