Bonnie Raitt and George Marinelli - what a great guitar tone!

Great playing and a great groove too. That's Mike Finnigan (who played organ with Jimi Hendrix on the Electric Ladyland album) on the Hammond organ. Anyone know what guitar George is playing? Looks like a PRS but I don't know that it is. Sure sounds good.

The magic in his tone, besides the P-90's and his touch, is that Bad Cat amp.

I can't tell which model Bad Cat it is, but I've gotten some of the best blues/roots tones out of Bad Cat, 65 Amps, and Matchless amps. They sound fat and harmonically rich, like no other amps.

And that reminds me of how anxious I am to go to the LA Amp/Guitar Show next week.

RIGHT!!!

It is the Flaxwood but with a tremolo but the key is the Bad Cat...I dig some of those amps.

I like Matchless amps better but the Bad Cat stuff is GREAT.

The Bad Cat Panther is a beast of an amp!

That said you could get that sound with a nice old Marshall or bigger tweed Fender.

This is interesting, to me at least. Same band (pretty much) but a different performance and George is playing a Strat instead of the Flaxwood with P90's. Still real good...but different. Bonnie's my favorite slide player of them all - love Duane & Ry Cooder too, but I like Bonnie best. How she sings so beautifully while playing slide in tune and so effectively at the same time just impresses the heck out of me.
