Boost Pedals... continued

Ok so I'd like some input on some of the best boost pedals you guys like a lot.

I know a little about OD pedals that are commonly used like the tubescreamer, boss OD-1 overdrive and SD-1 super overdrive... what would/do you use to get a mild overdrive and use also as a boost.. and why do you use it?

I use the tube screamer as mentioned for smalll amounts of overdrive, but for boosting my signal I have an MXR micro amp. I love this thing. If you use it in front of your amp it gives a slight boost,but adds something to the tone(in a Good way), but if you run it in the FX loop, it can give you Decibles of volume boost HAHA

Seriously, I love it and it is pretty inexpensive.

Of mild OD I use a TS-9. Reason? It works, and it works well.

For boosting, I set all my amps controls with my guitars volume just under 8.

- When I play clean, the volume sits around 2 or 3.

- When playing dirty rhythm, the volume sits between 3 and 8.

- When playing lead, the volume get's dimed.
