Paint Hello Kitty on rollerblades, smoking a cigar and wearing a zorro mask.

No offense taken but this is not boring!
No offence allowed to be taken but....
It looks just like any other cheapish Epiphone complete with genuine ( not imitation ) plastic stuck all over the veneer.

buy a Warmoth strat body in a finnish you like and keep the Fender body safe somewhere... or just sell the strat you have and buy another... most home done refinnish jobs are not the best quality, and paying someone to do it mostly costs a fair bit!

I'm doing a home refinish and its turning out great. You just really need to take your time and have patience because every step is about 5x the work you think it will be.

If you prep the guitar really well, spend the time sanding it, use grain sealer etc, its quite easy to get a nice smooth as glass finish.

Using quality paints really helps as well. The reranch stuff is pricey at $16 per can but it coats so well and goes on so smooth. Really makes its much easier.

If you follow the directions and take your time with every step, anyone can produce a showroom quality paint I feel
