Boss CH-1 Super Chorus, now a DIGITAL pedal??

I just need to confirm if what I read in a HC review is true or just Internet B.S. In a review of the Boss CH-1 Super Chorus I read that in October 2001 some components were switched out with cheaper, digital parts, thus making it a digital Chorus instead of Analog. Can anyone confirm if this is true? If it is, how do the two units compare sonically? Any pros or cons would be appreciated.

I know the CE-5 switched from analog to digital, I could see the CH-1 doing the same. I don't know the timeframe that it switched over.

You can't just switch out a few analog parts with digital ones. It's either a digital chorus, or it's analog, but offhand, I don't know which.

LOL! Exactly! That's why I wanted to confirm it before I started on a quest for a pre-October 2001 CH-1.
