who here uses the Boss footswitch for tap tempo? I'm using a lot more delay these days and the tap tempo would be a huge help, but I have heard that the switch is pretty junky, and that the time is off alot of times...if that's true then there is really no point...anybody hrere got any feedback about these?

I use mine all the time- I have 2 in my setup. One is used for midi continuous controller messages (like tap tempo, pitch transpose, chorus on/off) and the other one acts like a sustain pedal for my guitar synth. I have never had any problems with these. They are made of metal too- very sturdy.

I use one for tap tempo, and it works fine.

I would suggest that if the timing is off it has more to do with the person operating it than the pedal itself.

I run a pair of them myself with my GT-8 and have had no problems whatsoever.
