i've found that by sticking my GE-7 in my effects loop, it will eliminate all noise problems. and mine isn't modded.

and i agree...it is a fun pedal!

This is true... I never had noise problems with mine in the FX loop but as soon as i stuck it right after my Keeley DS1 in front of the amp, it was very noisy, but onyl with distortion. But I like it in the FX loop anyways as it give me maximum control over the sound there.

wait til you try out a MIDI EQ. can set scenes for different types of sounds/tone. smokin.

I, personally, was a little let down on the pedal. Its excessive noise is enough to make a deaf person tremble. I do use it to accentuate some frequencies even more precisely than on my amps controls, but unfortunately due to the hiss am not able to boost any of them. Oh well, it does tighten up my sound, but I'm just skeptical of the $90 price tag.

But if you can find more of a use from it, more power to you. It still is a good pedal.
