Boss OD-3 mod anyone?

I'm looking for THE overdrive pedal so i have borrowed some pedals from the local store to try over the weekend. It's a Seymour Duncan pickup booster, Boss SD-1 and a Boss OD-3. I Really like the OD-3 but i want a more cleaner sound so i searched the web for mods and i found a mod at a site called Indyguitarist(?), the only problem is that the mod instructions cost a few bucks and don't really want to pay anything for some instructions so now i wonder if anybody here has modded one? indyguitarist makes good ****, you don't get just one mod sheet for the pedal, you get all of them for that pedal

and instructions on how to DIY

shouldn't cost more than $15 including parts
