Boss OS-2

Finally got my hands on one of these after years of wishlisting. So far I like it. Very interesting distortion pedal. Boss sure has some clever folks over there.

Anyone else a fan of the OS-2?

OS2 is super underrated. It got pooped on at release cause it was "just a SD1 and DS1 with a sweep knob" and that's only half true; on either end of the sweep it doesn't quite nail either of those, though the similarities are there imo. I find it's most happy with the sweep somewhere between 10 and 3 o'clock with the tone control to taste (usually at around noon, tho)

I have almost every od and distortion Boss ever made so I might be biased lmao

As a fellow Boss enjoyer, I understand. I am also on a mission to collect as many as I can.

But yeah, the OS-2 is a different animal for sure. Definitely not the same as a SD-1 or DS-1. Somewhere in the middle seems like the sweet spot. Sounds great with my setup. I’m glad I finally got one.
