Boss pedal power supply help please

I have a Boss DS1 and to power it I just use one of those adapters that have variable voltage switches and whatnot on them.

My question is, will that same power supply work with a Boss ME-20 pedal? I'm thinking it will, since my bass playing friend has an ME-50b and uses a similar adapter, but I'd like to be sure before I plug it in and the thing goes "pop!". :scared:

Re: Boss pedal power supply help please

It worked for my ME-50 when I was using one, so I assume it would.

Re: Boss pedal power supply help please

After my first two expensive Boss PSUs died on me I started using those cheap switchable-voltage ones and they've always been fine. I used to use one with an ME-30 and had no problems. Just don't set it above 9v, and make sure you get the polarity right (NEG tip if I remember correctly).

Excellent, thanks for the help guys!
Simon, I'm going to assume the polarity for the ME20 will match the DS-1, so...hopefully it'll be ok.
I'm not paying an extra £15 for a "real" Boss power supply when it should really be bundled with it the way Zoom and Behringer manage.
