Boss PN-2

Re: Boss PN-2

You GOT one?!?

What a jerk!

I had one many years ago when they were new & sold it within a few weeks...

Young & dumb I was... young & dumb.

Ever put it next to a flying pan?

I did snatch one up...got a killer price too! Never tried a pan though, want to but never had the chance.

I wanted a nice panner pedal to use at the end of my signal chain and the stereo IN's sold me...that way I can run my stereo chorus and keep it stereo and still have the paning ability.

It really is a cool pedal!

Re: Boss PN-2

So you're using it for the panning over the trem?

I sold mine back in the big rack days... realized that the multi-FX boxes all had a panning patch & was like "why do I need this thing?"

Dumb!

Re: Boss PN-2

Panning... sends the output of the pedal to two amplifiers and sweeps between them with varible rate & depth. Not like a chorus... think of a tremolo that instead of fading to mute, goes from left to right.

Re: Boss PN-2

It is such a neat effect and the volume drop is pretty small...so small in fat that it doesn't bother me. I dig it overall and it's such a cool effect. I am using the Tremolo settings as well but the panning things it does are just mind blowing in stereo!

Re: Boss PN-2

Have made one chopper with optical stuff, and added a pannercircuit...plus a expression pedal input...it is pretty trippy with the panner:)
Had one PN-2 back in the day...somebody swiped it some 17-18 years ago:(

Re: Boss PN-2

Yep, everyone needs a PN-2 tucked away for the right application...
