Boss PS-2 Super Shifter not turning on and off properly....

....I'll press down on the pedal like normal and it won't turn on even though the red power light illuminated when I pushed the pedal down. The light goes off as soon as I remove my foot. I'll press it again and then it stays on. It doesn't always stay on after a 2nd try sometimes it takes 3 or 4 tries. Then when it's on, I go through the same headache when trying to turn it off.

Do you think it might be a bad switch under the pedal? If so, I'm sure that's easy to replace, right? Just a new switch with a couple of wires to connect?

Sounds like a switch. My Ibanez CM-5 used to do that then one day it stopped so I don't know what the story is there. In BOSS pedals switches are that easy as they are fairly small not saying its not doable just harder then a true bypass style switch.

Awesome thank you. It may be a dirty switch I've had the pedal for at least 11 or 12 years now. It sat out in the open a lot for the last 4 years or so, so that could be it.
