Boss RPS-10 Delay/Pitch shifter?

Closed Eye

It's a half-mount rack delay/pitchshifter unit...anybody have any experience with it? I was eye-balling a PS-2 I sold a few months back but somebody snatched it up before I could! Now I'm looking into some other delays...so, yeah, do you guys have experience with it?

I frequent BossArea and did a search for posts but I was just wondering, you know, first hand if anybody here actually had any experience with the unit. I prefer/trust the opinions of people here over the opinions of people over there simply because of familiarity, a certain standard, and of course...um...I can't think of a third thing...

Re: Boss RPS-10 Delay/Pitch shifter?

I had one of these about 15 yrs. ago, it has a couple of cool things--the reverse settings and the keyboard input on the back (allows you to hook up pretty much any electronic keys and play in the interval you want the pitch shifter to use, very handy on stage). The echo's ok, but not as nice as a Deltalab--pitch shifter is good for its age, but some modulation would've been nice. If you find one cheap, it can do a lot of lo-fi stuff, great for noise (Adrian Belew used one alot) but make sure to use a filtered power supply and good cables, cause the pitch shifter will throw line noise into the mix if it hears any.
