Boss TR-2 Mods?

I just put in an order for a Boss TR-2, and I was wondering if anyone knew any mods that would be worth trying out.

I don't have any dislikes with the pedal from what I've tried that I can remember, but I generally don't use tremolo in too subtle a manner, so I may try to expand the range of the rate knob and maybe experiment with adjusting the wave forms.

Any ideas?

It's a decent trem, but I always found the volume drop when it's engaged was annoying. I don't know if the newer ones do that still though. If you have a newer pedal, be aware that it has probably gone the way of most modern Boss pedals - which means all SMT stuff. Makes it very hard to pull the pedal apart and work on it. :P

Yeah, after messing around with it its definitely alright. Mine has a trim pot that adjusts the level.

Honestly I'm thinking about just having it painted. Maybe fiddle around with rate and that's it.

The volume deal was fixed in 2007 or so.

Don't know about any mods for it other than clarity/sound quality and volume.

So many other great Terms out there today.

I had a Keeley modded one where they put a volume control on it. If it doesn’t have to be Boss I recommend the Walrus Monument, it’s fantastic

I have a vintage Boss (97), a Keeley modded one, and about 20 other Tremolos. There is a little trim pot inside the newer ones to address volume, which is probably set just fine - but can be changed to taste.

And yes - the Monument, and the Wampler Latitude, IMO, are both examples of great modern Tremolos at decent prices. But for most people, a Boss TR2 is all the tremolo they will ever need.

Here are a few of them

Does anyone know offhand what the fastest I can set a tremolo pedal before it creates a standing wave?

Excuse me, auditory fusion is what I meant. Where if you play a discrete sound at a high enough hz it begins to sound like a single tone at that frequency.
