need help on what to do about a headstock rep
I would NEVER swap a neck for another just because of a sanded headstock unless I was unhappy with it already. The neck is half the guitar and when you swap it out, you literally swap out half your guitar for another one.
If you truly like that guitar the way it is, leave it be, touch up the headstock if you'd like, even veneer it but leave it there.
I've had people complain that even removing and reattaching the SAME neck on their bolt-ons changed its' sound/feel, granted, in order for sth like this to happen you'd need to mess up sth pretty badly but still...
