bought a taylor 410 acoustic today!!!!!

woohoo! im soo happy! went in after a looong time of saving wanting to buy the 310 model, however, my pops wanted me to try this one. tried it and fell in love. its sound so crisp, so balanced, plays so well. i loooooove it.
cost only $1200 (brand new) including a hard case, new strings, and a humidifier. the guy was amazing. (my parents and i also worked some things out and it will only cost me 600, because im "a good kid, does well in school, and captain and leader of the golf team for school.")

It was a toss up for me when looking for an acoustic; I got a good deal on the Guild but was leaning towards Taylor & Takamine before that.

Nice score bro. Taylor is THE acoustic IMO. I love my 314 30th Ann. Taylor builds some damn fine sounding instruments. Enjoy and play in good health.

Also, congrats on being captain of the golf team. I was co-captain junior and senior year with my best friend. Great times and great memories.

The 410 is one of the best dreadnaughts you can buy. I've had 3 good acoustics in my life, and the 410 was one of them. I like my Martin D-28, but there's something about that 410 neck that I still miss.

Taylors have the best necks of any acoustics I've played, including any of the high end boutique companies, like Collings or Santa Cruz.

I believe all of the Taylors come with 12's.... Elixer's. I think Elixer calls this Medium Light, but I'd have to look again.

the 410 is one of the best deals out there! enjoy

as for the strings - Taylors ship with Elixers, some with lights, some with mediums, depending on the top wood, and Taylor recommends sticking with the guage they come with in most cases

Awesome man. I love when things work out that way with parents. There's nothing like making your parents proud to satisfy your GAS . My parents helped me out purchasing my Reverend guitar and my Morris amp because they said I was making them proud.

NICE!! I almost bought a new 410CE a couple of years ago. Beautiful looking, playing, and sounding guitar. The deal fell through for financial reasons, and I wound up getting a used Guild D50CE for a great price.

That's a great deal for $600. Enjoy...

1. the ovangkol sounds very very nice. very crisp, and tremendously well balanced.

2. compared to the 310, imo, this guitar is just flat out better. the woods sound much much better. the playabily was about the same, but the sound on the 410 is hands down better. dont get me wrong, the 310 was a fine instrument, but the 410 just sounded better to my ears. much more lively. (both were virtually new, by the way)(i did a/b tests with them and also did chords back and forth with them with a very nice man at the place i got the instrument)
