Oh man.
Let's say right now I'm debating whether to get one of those, or a Jet City 2x12 with custom-made Eminence speakers.
It has a Vintage 30, right? How's the bass response? I recall those some kind of funky design thing going on to make them sound bigger.

Yeah its a vintage 30 and it has a significant amount of bass. Actually I was reading the same thing about enhancing the bass response. It's not boomy but deep bass, sounds like a high output 4x12 but much smoother and balance. Almost hifi.
I was debating whether to get the jet city cab as well. From reading and watching YouTube clips the stock JC cab isn't as articulate to my ears.with a speaker change I think it will sound better. Just my two cents, in the end it is the wallet and sometimes luck that decides lol

That's a steal at $200. H&k stuff is really well built and the speaker alone is worth over $100

Thanks for the information man! You've pushed me towards the H&K in the end.
There's some much cheaper Laney cabs with V30s as well here, and I'll give them a shot but I don't know. They're almost too cheap to be good.

Through my Laney ironheart (unlike the one in the video) the HK speaker nails most hard rock and metal tones of other v30 artist and sounds fuller. My Vox nt has a new soul as well. Have a listen to this cheapo cab.

No problem man. I haven't used Laney v30 cabs but those speakers through a cheap cab spells catastrophe. There is a guitar company selling 212 v30s here in Japan that sounds dismal and user reviews suggest it has bad wiring. This cab, brand new was 200 bucks.
