Bourns Pots

Does anyone know where I can get a push/push Bourns pot 500k?

I'm looking for very fast volume pots and Bourns pots seem to be that.

It will have to be a short pot as it is for a strat type guitar. I have seen Push/Pulls but they seem to be the tall ones for piercing through maple tops etc.

Re: Bourns Pots

WD Music do a new Push push that's superb.

Comes in long and short shaft.

Re: Bourns Pots

How is the action on it?

I have a pot that if I touch it by accident the weight of the knob alone turns it off. That is what I am looking for, that speed.

Re: Bourns Pots

I have the EVH low-friction ones and I love it. For volume swells and other things they are AWESOME! Very linear from 0 to 10. However, being as brutal as I am to it, I'm getting significant signal bleed when it's turned to "0"... it could also be an issue with the ground wiring.

But here is a link to the Bournes catalog. http://www.bourns.com/pdfs/bourns_pro_audio.pdf

I don't see any low-friction stuff in there. I suspect EVH had his custom made for his guitar by Bournes, which they only sell through the EVH brand. You're probably not going to find a low-fric pot with a push-pull unless you have one custom built.

I think that all Bourns are Low Friction by default. From the ones I have had experience with in the past they seem to be just the same as the EVH pots feel.

Its just the EVH marketing beast at work yet again.
The EVH pots just look like standard bourns pots with an EVH stamp on them.
