Brad Paisley's setup

If I have my info correct, Brad Paisley uses this setup on his '68 pink paisley Telecaster:

Bridge: Lindy Fralin Blues Special
Rhythm: Seymour Duncan Hot Rhythm

I am a newbie and would love to know exactly what that means.
I would like this setup for my '68 Telecaster.
Where exactly should they be positioned?
Am I able to install these myself? etc......

ok...I can't tell you anything about his set up, but I'll help you with the rest...

What that means is that his neck pickup is a Seymour Duncan Hot Rhythm and the bridge is a Lindy Fralin Blues Special. both Lindy Fralin and Seymour Duncan are pickup makers, Blues Special and Hot Rhythm are specific models.

As for the position...they are each neck and bridge pickups, as for height...there is no real rule, just tweak them to sound the way you want it to sound.

As for putting them in...if you can use a soldering iron, you can put them in...if you can't use a soldering iron, learn asap...some places charge as much as $75.00 do swap one pickup and in this world, you'll be doing it alot!

Swapping pups is very easy, I'd definately recommend doing it yourself.

Yeah he was till he ran into Dr. Z.
Then he started using a couple of Mazerati 2x12 Combos(with the Celestion Alnico Speakers)
Now he's using a special custom amp he designed with Dr. Z called Prescription Extra Strength (he's actually got 2, though they're set up a little different from each other)
On top of that he uses a couple Z-28's as well.
The last concert I went to he used 1 Mazerati combo, 1 Z-28, and both Prescription ES's.
