bridge grounding on gibson style bridge

Re: bridge grounding on gibson style bridge

IIRC, there should be a wire running to one of the posts the bridge is mounted on.

Does it not have one?
If not you need to remove the bridge and the stud closest to the cavity then drill a small hole going from the stud hole in to the cavity. Use some solid wire and push it in the hole and leave a small amount showing where the stud goes. You need this showing so that when you push the stud back in the hole it will make contact with it and bend in to the hole and create your earth ready for you to solder the other end to the back of the pot.

If it's an ABR-1, I'm positive it's not going to the bridge. It would be going to the tailpiece bushing.

Yep what he said you earth to the tail piece not the bridge
