Bridge Pickup for 1989 Charvel

I just installed a hot rails in the neck of my Charvel, which has a Demon in the bridge and it made me realize that the Demon is once again not hot enough for my tastes.

I have a Jackson PC-1 with an DiMarzio EVO2 in the bridge that I love but I'm thinking I'd like to have a little different shade in the Charvel. I play 80's rock through a 5150. I like my sound to cut with lots of harmonics. Lately I've really been digging Matthias Jab's lead tone.

Just looking for suggestions from others.

Thanks

Super III in the bridge will work well with a Hot Rails neck.

The JB is a great pickup for the hi-gain 80's rock tones. That's what a lot of the guys were using back then.

I have the exact same feelings about the Demon, and when I first plugged into a JB I was like, "This is it!"

A lot of guys around here say it has a loose bottom end, but I have not experienced that at all. For 80's tone, you have to keep the bass rolled back a bit anyway.

The SD Distortion is supposed to be the same pickup but with an over-sized ceramic magnet. Little bit brighter and crunchier.

A JB for 80's rock, but for a Scorpions tone, you might need a Marshall and maybe a PAF style pickup. The JB has a great singing lead tone.
