Bridge pickup for PRS santana Se ?

I recently picked up a cheap used sh-2 jazz for the neck pickup on my 2001 prs santana se and im debating which bridge pickup to pair with it. Would a slash bridge pair well with this? Ive considered the jb and custom 5 but im concerned they may be a little too high output for my needs. Ideally i'd like something versatile that does classic rock well and cleans up nicely. I also have an aluminum wilkinson wrap around bridge installed, so the guitar is brighter now than with the stock bridge.

welcome to the forum! im about to put a saturday night special set in mine which currently has a set of prails w/ triple shots. i think a slash bridge might work fine with the jazz and i bet the c5 would too. id stay away from the jb. as far as clean tones, i usually get better tones from the neck or neck/middle selections.

I have an 03 Santana SE. I currently have a Jazz and JB. The JB isn’t bad. I don’t use that guitar for any thing heavy. I would say that if you are doing rock then a JB would be fine. In my opinion and experience with this guitar the JB cleans up well. I have a coil split in mine so that adds some extra snap and a little less output too.
Also in my experience with the custom 5 it doesn’t have as much mids when compared to its treble response. Also I think it has a more pronounced bass response. If you want a slightly lower output then the JB with the scoop in mids then I think that you should go with the C5. If you want less bass and more treble than I think the JB would be good.
Overall in my experience with the Santana with the JB, they work well for me and clean up nicely.
Can not speak for the slash set. It’s been to long since I’ve messed with them.

Custom 5 with an UOA5 magnet would work well with that Jazz.

This video showcases the Custom 5, Custom, and Custom Custom in a PRS Mark Allender SE, it's worth a watch.

I hate to beat a dead horse, but I love the Pegasus myself. Its nowhere near as hot as a JB and is versatile as you can get. I pulled the Slash set, but I play with more gain than you perhaps. Another mislabeled pickup IMHO, I think the Pegasus can do anything you ask of it and do it very well. Its almost "polite" believe or not

The Custom Custom is my favorite from the video too, and in real life.

+1. Slash bridge is a great choice. Did you know that the Jazz with an A2 magnet is an A2P?

I'd also avoid JB's, wound hot and can be squirrely in mahogany. The only Custom I'd use would be with an UOA5 magnet, which gives it lower output and a rich texture.
