Bridge pickup for Squier Classic Vibe 50s Strat

Hi,

I'm looking for a single coil bridge pickup for a Squier classic vibe 50s stratocaster that I am restoring from the HB it had fitted.

Apparently they had Tonerider pickups? Basically I'm looking for a Bridge single coil that will match the other singles nicely. I tend towards liking "warm round" and "quacky strat" sounds.

I'm going to put in a blender pot to be able to combine bridge and neck.

I may miss a humbucker in the bridge but hey....

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Other options could be the bridge pickup from either Antiquity set which are a bit hotter and wound with a thinner wire to give more mids than a typical bridge strat pickup.
Another one is the ssl 5 or 6.......which will be thicker and fuller to a degree but still sound pretty strat like.
And finally the Twangbanger. A strat pickup with some Tele-like beef.

And finally the Twangbanger.

IMHO, the Twangbanger should be 1st, or maybe 2nd, choice. Killer pup for this application.

(I think the "twang" in the Twangbanger is overstated. In a good way.)

Uh, what pickups are in there now? Kinda hard to make a suggestion without that.

If the neck and middle are Toneriders, you could just add the matching bridge. Outside of that, I would suggest replacing all three in a strat.

Budget sets (under $100) that get excellent reviews are;

Guitar Fetish

Rose

Tonerider

Intermediate set ($101-$199) would be anything from Seymour Duncan SSL to Fender 57/62s Just too many good choices.

Premium sets ($200+) are Seymour Duncan Antiquities to your pick of boutique winders.

I have the original pickups (Toneriders) in neck and middle and love them. I just want the bridge but can’t see where to buy that individually. Over here in the uk it’s £80 for the set...

You can still make orders from EU freely in UK right?

I've done my pickup orders from Banzai music in Germany. They have huge stock and reasonable pricing (unlike most finnish shops).

Warm and quacky? Don't forget to look at the Five Two...this is exactly what it does.
