Bridge pickup for Washburn N24 agathis body?

I recently acquired a Washburn N24, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005F2NZ6E/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_8NHaCb4YYWTVN. It's a super comfortable guitar to play, but the stock Washburn neck pickup and BL XL500 bridge pickup aren't so great. I have both a Jazz and a 59 that I'm going to try in the neck. I'm wondering what to put in the bridge. I play heavier rock (AIC, VH, etc). Not super chugga chugga metal.

Custom, Custom 5, Distortion, Black Winter, 59/C hybrid ... the options are endless. Depends on the amp and other factors.

So what's the problem with the Bill Lawrence? BE SPECIFIC.

OH... Okay. Another cap on your tone control, maybe?

Resurrecting this thread. I started a new one because I forgot I already created this one. I'm still looking for some recommendations for replacing my bridge pickup.

Agathis is supposedly a soft wood not unlike Basswood. Huh, I would think the Agathis would offset the brightness of the L500XL. Maybe a Custom Custom if you're looking for a something that isn't that bright but still has top end to it. It'll be thicker in the low-mids though.

PATB-1b thickens u a guitar nicely without being super aggressive.
