Bridge Pickup Recommendation

Hi folks,
I'm searching for a replacement bridge pickup for my PRS Custom 24. The stock unit is a 57/08, which is a low-medium output A2 PAF. I'm looking for something similar to a 59/Custom Hybrid, but a little more output and attitude. The trick is, I don't want to sacrifice too much in the way of top-end clarity and dynamics. What pickup would this be? Is it as simple as a Custom? I'm also curious about the Perpetual Burn, Distortion (neck in bridge position), Pegasus and Nazgul. Also, what would be a good neck pickup match, if the stock 57/08 doesn't work out?

Honestly, I'd say the Custom. It sems to tick the boxes. Obviously, as you increase the output, the dynamics start to disappear as the signal gets more compressed. Anything with a higher output than the Hybrid starts feeling that way to me.

Those seem like good options. The Nazgul and Pegasus seem to be voiced more sterile for metal. The PB might sound the most natural since it's A5 and not tuned uber metal. I'd say choose if you want ceramic vs A5, or uber metal vs only medium metal.

I've also been considering new pickups for my CU24. Mine has the 85/15's and 90% of the time I can't stand them.

The SD Custom is high on my list, but I've also been thinking maybe I should try my first Dimarzio's. Also thought maybe the new Mojotone Kelliher Hellbender's but haven't been liking what I hear in the very limited amount of demos out there. I keep hearing people rave about Suhr Adlrich in a CU24, too! Gah.

SOOO many options and I don't want to fall into a rabbit hole, want to get it right with the 1st swap, if such a thing is even possible. You just never know how a set is going to sound until they are in.

More output and attitude than the 59/Custom? Try the regular Custom or even a JB.

Just curious, though...have you actually tried a '59/Custom? :?:

P.S.- I have a Custom Shop set of '59/JB and '59/Jazz hybrids for sale in the Trading Post. Not sure if that's something you'd be interested in, but might fit the bill, especially if you're looking for a matched set

I have not tried the 59/Custom in this particular guitar. However, I do have that pickup and a 59/Jazz in a PRS McCarty. That set is about perfect for that guitar. (I may want to try an A4 in the neck...) Just looking for a little more heat and attitude from the Custom 24. One other thought that occurred to me was a hot-rodded 59/Custom with ceramic booster magnets and perhaps a double thick Clint 55 A5 magnet…
