Bridge pup for strat. to pair a jazz neck.

WITH FULL DISTORTION

Hails Guys?!?! How are yah^?!
i´m currently using a jazz neck nickel cover and a custom 5 bridge
although i liked the combo, i wish the C5 had more organic overal tones, better fluidy cleans, singing leads, crunchier midds and Tighter Bass.
any clue of what can be a replacement for it? in the same Output range of the Jazz bridge.
no need to be a high output pickup, but i don´t want a too low output pup too. ehehehe

the guitar, is my fender reissue 1950 strat. maple one piece neck/fretboard. small frets.
basswood body with maple cap.
Hails and thank´s

Ah... i´ll use this in E standard tuning, for rock, leads, blues, hard rock and even a metal so.. the bridge pickup need to be articulated and handle a little more distortion IF necessary.

i was thinking a Jazz nickel cover trembucker bridge.

edit : it can´t be HARSH, FUZZY, ultra bright.
Remember, singing leads.

Re: Bridge pup for strat. to pair a jazz neck.

The JB isn't as tight as a C5. If you want better cleans than the C5 with a tighter bass and no harshness, get a Screamin' Demon and replace the hex screws with 6 more fillister screws.

Re: Bridge pup for strat. to pair a jazz neck.

You can trade your C5 with my Super Distortion..
hahha just kidding...
you already tried the custom custom on your Fender?
it must be a good choice..

My experience with the Demon was not good.

JP said "edit : it can´t be HARSH, FUZZY, ultra bright." The Demon was that for me even after the pole replacement.

Hails Guys, Hails Benjy
Well.. if you are reffering to a comparison between the ammount of bass and ammount of it´s tightness. C5 wons, But, JB´s Bass is way tighter than the c5.

The JB with a tight bottom end????????? Am I reading that correctly? The JB's bottom end is looser than a 50 year old prostitute!!!!! LOL! No kidding!

Re: Bridge pup for strat. to pair a jazz neck.

JP get a Duncan Distortion. It is better than the JB for what you want, and the mid spike thing isn't there due to the thick ceramic magnet. Nice and tight and fairly compressed, I think you would love it like I do.

Re: Bridge pup for strat. to pair a jazz neck.

Since you're cool with lower output but not too low, try a PG bridge. ;)

Re: Bridge pup for strat. to pair a jazz neck.

If you like the C5 you might want to try the Alnico 8 magnet instead of the Alnico 5.

I still disagree! I still found it harsh after this mod myself.

It could be in super strats , less in lespaul , anyway with this mod and an alnico 8 the harsness is gone and it's even more punchy .

Re: Bridge pup for strat. to pair a jazz neck.

NOT SURE.
i had a duncan distortion twice, in 2 different ghuitars, didn´t like it.
HARSH.
and, c5, i don´t like it, but i´ll give it a little more trying/playing, cause i changed my hole GEAR. i need to get used to it AGAIN. and i didn´t played with my 5150 YET enough time
