Bridge P'up for Strat

I have a standard fender strat with a a duncan qtr pounder in the neck and a classic stack in the middle. i have some type of dimarzio in the bridge, not sure what, but i definitely want to replace that p'up. what would be a good choice for a p'up that gets good harmonics when overdriven, yet still maintains a bright top end so it can clean up well? im open to any suggestions, single coil or humbucker. :)

It seemed to clean up well, kind of bell tone, I didn't spend alot of time with it I was just trying a friends strat. It was also pretty crunchy with distortion, but a few hairs to bright for me.

I was also recommended the CC for my fat strat by everyone I asked, I just have to install it, maybe you should try it as well.

BTW, how is that QP neck pickup? I'm thinking about getting one...

I like the JB full size in the bridge on a strat...personal preference and if you have a coil tap, well, it sounds EXCELLENT when tapped so you can tap it and back off the volume. I get shudders just thinking about it!!!! :laugh2:

the qp is the neck is really good it gives a nice fat sound with good output. I like it alot.

the hotrails actually i have. the cable came off of it and i have to get it repaired. considering this is the cheapest option i will probably get it fixed then put it in.

2nd that vote for the QP

2nd that vote for the QP

I just had the Custom Shop rewind my QP I bought in 1980 (My parrot bit it one day and busted the internal wires). It's one of my favorite sounds. The neck pos'n QP is the only pup I like by itself.

YES! The single greatest smiley there is! :wizard: Anyway, I'd go with JB, CC, or C5.
