Bridge pup replacement for Schecter Omen Extreme 6

Hi there, I've been recently thinking about changing the stock bridge pup on my Schecter Omen Extreme 6. The guitar itself has a mahogony body with a maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. I play mostly metal and progressive rock stuffs. The problem with the current pup is, it lacks the clarity and definition, though they're pretty good. I have narrowed down a few options like EMG H4A, Dimarzio Super Distortion, Duncan Distortion and JB. So what would be good to go with?:eek5:

dont go with the H4A in the bridge, it's a neck pickup with relatively low output. Pegasus (as already suggested) would be a nice choice, distortion, invader and dimarzio d activator are worth a look but I think you should be finding yourself at home with the pegasus

Take a look at the Pegasus bridge pickup: LINK

Yup, this would have been my suggestion. The Pegasus is a great progressive metal pickup, but it does also does a lot of other things really well.

Thanks for the suggestion guys. I really appreciate it. One more thing, what about Dominion bridge? Mark morton has some really kickass distortion tone out of it and the midrange is pretty strong. Would it be a good replacement?

Absolutely wrong. H4A is a passive version of the 85 and has lots of output. Actually works better in the bridge than the neck.

Well...I am not a big fan of EMGs either. As far I have seen, they tend to produce a more compressed tone; thus, although the "chugga-chugga" outcome is good but I don't need it all the time. I handle most of the rhythm guitar works in my band; a good amount of cleans as well as riffs with odd sounding chords in high gain settings ---- these are the things I mostly handle. So I need a more midrange-oriented sound that would really cut through in a full mix, both in live and studio situations.

Late to the post, but I got a Full Shred b and 59 n, and it sounds like heaven. Specially the 59 for clean stuff. I can go anywhere from Sleepwalk, to Running with the Devil, to Cowboys From Hell.
