i have a lil' screamin demon bridge pup and i'm planning to put it in the middle position. my question is, is it ok to put a bridge pup to mid position?

it's really about what sound you are after. if you like it, it's right. what's the reason you are putting it in the mid pos?

the reason is that ill be putting back the stock bridge single coil on my strat. i recently bought an ibanez rg550ltd with stock pup on the neck and mid and dimarzio evo on the bridge. i already have myself a SH-6 for the neck pup to replace the stock neck pup. since the mid pup of the ibanez is single coil and the SLSD-1 is a mini humbacker so i thought of putting it on my ibanez.

I have a bridge Cool Rail in the middle of my Strat and a Hot Rail at the bridge. I end up using the Cool Rail most of the time because it sounds really cool in that position. You may find a combination you like. Who knows?

my guitar is with a luthier right now and have instructed to put my SLSD-1 in the mid position. expecting to get it 3 days from now. i hope it would also come out great.

just an update. i didn't like how it came out. big drop in volume. i'll be putting the single coil pup back in the mid position.
