pardon me, how do wraparounds sustain more? i had the impression that strings through the body will generally result in more sustain and resonance.

i do agree that the look of a wraparound do kick behinds!

There are no saddles, so it's all one solid piece. Less moving parts = more sustain. I know wraparounds sustain more than standard tune-o-matic/stoptails, haven't compared them back to back to string throughs. With string through bodies, I know you can't wrap the strings around the bridge, so I'm not sure how exactly that effects it.

now i understand where you are coming from. the wraparound i had in mind was a pigtail intonatable with 6-saddles.
