Broadcaster STL-1b + Kent Armstrong hot telecaster (higher gain) jam demo

Boogeyman of Tone
Had a lot of fun with this, first time I've recorded with a tele-type guitar. Definitely a lot more bright and twangy than I'm used to.

Guitar is a tele-type my friend made, it's ash with a maple neck/rosewood board, duncan stl-1b + kent armstrong hot tele neck pickup. Its his personal guitar, which is why there's a pointy headstock on a tele. Why not eh? I only have a camera phone so sorry about the picture quality.

I really like the broadcaster bridge pickup, its loud enough to take to gain in a good way but still gets nice cleans IMO. Quite a lot of cut, I think as a midgain rhythm pup it'll sit really well in an oldschool rock band or country rock band. Leads are good on it too, though it's a totally different tone to what I'm used to, not really sure I did it justice with my noodling over a generic riff.

Rhythm sounds from Podfarm, lead tone from guitar amp pro (Logic Studio modeling software).

Hope this helps anyone wanting clips of that pickup, if I have time I'll do a clean demo this weekend....... have an essay to write for monday :chairshot
