Re: Brobucker Clips Clean and Dirty

It started downloading a file then it just did nothing. Weird.

Re: Brobucker Clips Clean and Dirty

Even with the gain dimed it sounded good. Love the tone at the three minute mark! :)

FYI, you have to be logged into Soundclick to download any mp3's but not if you just listen to it on lofi or hifi.

Thanks, there are many other's here who could make this pup sound much better than me. FYI, the 3min mark is the BB and the Fillmore neck combined. I love that tone too!

Sounds real Good!! Now I understand what the whole Buzz about these PuPs was all about. I hope there will be a 2nd run... This time i won't miss the bus.
This sounds like the PuP I always wanted, But was afraid to ask for.:chairfall

Re: Brobucker Clips Clean and Dirty

Excellent! Sounds great. The dirty stuff would make Leslie West proud as hell. You nailed his current tone beautifully:smokin:

Re: Brobucker Clips Clean and Dirty

It sound very FAT , even if it had to much bass dialed in on dirty channel , this pickup is probably - for what i heard - not suited for Metal , but would be very good for everything vintage , from jazz to hard rock , the Brob is not mean and fast enough .
Perhaps with a row of allen like the Demon it would be more agressive .

Re: Brobucker Clips Clean and Dirty

that sounds awsome !! great clean and with gain i like it alot very fat. it sounds like a classic rockers dream pickup.

Re: Brobucker Clips Clean and Dirty

Cool clips. I'm glad you did different examples of it. It's a versatile pickup that can do anything....it even does extremely heavy gain. It's potted, but to me, it's in between non potted and normal potting.....at least I think.

I'm wondering if SD will make this a Custom Shop pickup, or if it's viable to release it as a new standard model? I think the aged magnet issue forces it to be a Custom Shop deal.

Re: Brobucker Clips Clean and Dirty

Thanks Joe, I think that this pup could easily be a production Antiquity type pup if introduced to the public. I agree that this pup can and will cover a lot of ground and do it all very well. I'm real anxious for you to post a clip of your LP and the Bogner. Got to get someone who can really play post some clips.

Re: Brobucker Clips Clean and Dirty

its very crunchy, AND the cleans are hot.
i Liked it man.
like dthe hot tone for leads at the final of the clip too.
it shares some similarities with the super distortion, Isn´t It?!
i liked it.
i have just ONE question...
hummmmmmmm 2 questions
Is there a neck version of it?
How tight is it´s bass?! any comparison to C5 and CC please?
thank´s for the clip

Re: Brobucker Clips Clean and Dirty

Hails my southern hemispere brother! I only recorded upper mid gain on the amp, but the pup handles full gain VERY well. I don't think that it is as trebley as the SD, it has a much more even EQ. The bass stayed pretty tight, but I could only compare it to the Wagner Fillmore that I replaced in the LP. No neck version unless you want to custom shop order one from Seymour or MJ. But I can say that it works well with my Fillmore neck and others have paired it with the Jazz with good results.

Instead of do that, Please guys that are reading this post and owns a brobucker... is there any chance to compare the tightness of the brobucker bass with the CC and C5?
don´t compare with DC, cause i didn´t play one.
