Brobucker Comes to Life! Lotsa pics!

Re: Brobucker Comes to Life! Lotsa pics!

:yell: :crying:

I think I'm going to cry now.

Seymour, you're a true professional, but one with a heart of gold. It is very very cool of you to sign each one like that. :fing2:

Oh man. How friggin awesome is this! Now I just need to buy a guitar worthy of this pup. Time to start saving for an R8!

Re: Brobucker Comes to Life! Lotsa pics!

Being the internet and all, you guys can’t see that I am currently kicking myself in the butt for missing out on this. It should go without saying how cool the Seymour Duncan company is for putting this together.

Re: Brobucker Comes to Life! Lotsa pics!

I'm kicking myself for getting just one!

Scott, you've been most humble through this process. Thank you, sir.

Thank you MJ and thank you Mr. Duncan. This goes so far above and beyond.

I just got mine today (yup, I ordered one too).

Each one is hand-signed by Seymour on the bottom plate. That's a little "bonus" that he threw in for all y'all.

The sticker on the pickup says, "Custom Shop Brobucker."

So whats it going into?

I'm guessing with the overwind and the dunaged mag these will be relatively smooth/dark by PAF standards. That may make it perfect for my Cherryburst which is quite bright for a PRS. If not the CC or A2 Hybrid will go there and this will find a home in the LP most likely.

Okay, I've got a really *HUGE* chubby now! I'm afraid to put it in a guitar now!

I guess that means it'll be coming in the mail in the next couple of days?

One of these.

Re: Brobucker Comes to Life! Lotsa pics!

On one hand, it would've been nice to get one of these. On the other, I have six guitars, with 14 Duncan pups sitting here beside me.

I have no regrets. There's a little Seymour and MJ all around me. ;)

Great job SD and company.

Three holes in each leg so it's a trembucker, isn't it?
Yes. The zebras are Trembuckers. The humbucker-spaced pickups are under a cover.

Re: Brobucker Comes to Life! Lotsa pics!

Looking forward to getting this bad boy. Thanks again to everyone involved.

Re: Brobucker Comes to Life! Lotsa pics!

I can't wait to get my nickelcovered one. I really should have ordered more than one, in case it turns out to be a big favorite.

I've been thinking of what neck pickup I'm going to use with the Brobucker, and I'm going to try something that Jolly swears is the best neck pickup.....a Jazz Bridge in the neck. So I'll have a 10K A5 PAF with a 8.2K Jazz B neck, both nickelcovered! I'm putting them in my LP Goldtop w/pullup tone pots for coil splitting.

Re: Brobucker Comes to Life! Lotsa pics!

I have no idea what this thing is gonna go in....I don't really have an axe for it at the moment. Hopefully soon. Can't wait to hear others comments on it.

Re: Brobucker Comes to Life! Lotsa pics!

no idea what mine is going in either. may have to pick up another les paul...edwards perhaps. still tossing ideas around.

Re: Brobucker Comes to Life! Lotsa pics!

This is the reason why I'm always recommending SD pickups to everyone, they don't just sound good but they have good karma inside them! I can tell from the pictures that SD and MJ are really great people and that they are putting a lot of effort into keeping us tone snobs happy. Thank you very much and bless you!

Can't wait to try it out!

btw thanks for the pics scott!

These are the two coolest pictures, IMO.

Here you can see the magnet is show around 50 gauss. That's a fully-charged Alnico 5.

This is the Dun-aging process. Look at the gauss meter now. It's measuring around 30 gauss.
