AFAIK, so am I. I'm hoping that it is waiting for me when I go home today. PT conferences tonight:dammit: It would be nice to have some good news.

Not yet, UPS usually shows up at around 5, so I'm hoping they show up today.

Re: Brobucker Comes to Life! Lotsa pics!

After opening up the box I feel guilty about putting these in a guitar. The packaging is so customized, with my name all over it, Seymour Duncan's signature on the packaging & pickup, MJ's intiials--plus, mine was made on Valentine's day.

When I popped open the first Brobucker's box, it had just come in from the outside. It was ice cold and it is heavy. It just FELT special, like some kind of energy was eminating from it, LOL. I feel like I should put these in a time capsule for future generations to enjoy.

But I won't.

Curly, MJ sent out the corrected inlay today, should be arriving soon.:headbang:

It can´t be said often Enough: Seymour, MJ, Evan, Scott, Curly and everyone else involved in this rock... I owe each of you a Beer :beerchug:

Re: Brobucker Comes to Life! Lotsa pics!

Mine just came. Brown just left it on my porch. I heard the guy bump my mailbox or I wouldn't have known he was here.

I installed mine tonight in my LP Goldtop....Brobucker bridge/ Jazz B in neck position. It's really a great sounding pickup for blues to classic metal, since it's like a 59B with more guts and mids with more character.

It's crisp clear and punchy for cleans, and the frequencies all sound nice and natural for clean to pushed clean.

With varying shades of gain, it has a sweet and tight PAF sound that reminds me instantly of AC/DC and Black Sabbath, and the dunaged magnet seems to really give the pickup a more vintage sound underneath the fairly hot wind.
On high gain, the pickup has a nice brutal sound that compresses just right, but there's a crunchy edge that makes all the notes ring out clear.
On hotter pickups, heavy palm muted riffs seem to lose their cut, because of the compression on the low notes, but on the Brobucker, it will still sound heavy, but there's clarity that has a nice character.

I'll try and do some clips of it soon, since it's late at night, and I'm just getting my first overall impression. I've been playing it pretty loud until now, and it's just a really good toned hot A5 PAF.

EXACTLY! Your thoughts on the Brobucker are the exact reasons I started using similar pickups about a year ago and ditched my hotter pickups wound with thinner wire. I now use exclusively pickups such as the Wolfetone Marshallhead, Caretaker and WCR Goodwood which all fall into the BB category. I know why you like it Gearjoneser.......:)

UPS just passed by...and didn't stop :(

Hopefully they'll turn around. Or I'll hijack the truck. Whichever happens first :fingersx:

Re: Brobucker Comes to Life! Lotsa pics!

And they pulled in over here...and left :(

And they dropped off a pretty small box to someone across the way...I pray it wasn't my Brobucker :(
