Pricing with shipping is $107 US-domestic, $150 shipped International.

If at least 10 get ordered normal spacing, we can try to put together another 10 tray in Tremspace and zebra. :dance:

The extra $43 is for UPS International "Blue" Shipping. We don't ship by USPS because there's no recourse if the pickup gets lost (and boxes from "Seymour Duncan" can be inviting targets from unscrupulous guitar-playing mail workers around the world). This way, the pickup is insured and trackable -- and gets there faster than USPS.

The extra charge doesn't cover any landing charges on behalf of the customer. It just covers our cost of shipping via UPS International Blue (air) service overseas. The amount of landing charges each overseas customer pays will vary on a country-by-country basis, depending on their duty rates. It's the way our custom shop always ships to overseas customers.

And in case anyone asks, no, we won't make dummy invoices that show $0 value. That's illegal and we just don't do it.

this is basically a Custom Shop model for a standard, covered model price

I'm in for the "standard model" too. At least one, maybe two. :)

maybe a show of hands will help those who prefer to hold out for a trem spaced version

Regardless, the vote was for normal spacing. Once we get 10 people to send in their money, we can open it up for the trem spaced one.

Looks like I might be waiting a bit for my tremspaced one then, since I have no clue what guitar this is going into at this point, so better safe with tremspaced right? Or I might not be waiting long at all, looking at how many people want this pickup.

I'd go normal because if worst comes to worst you can always slant it.

BTW..how (tonally) does a "Dun aged" A5 mag compare to a non aged A5 and non aged A2 mag?

"With vintage guitars, stronger magnets are not always desirable. Several years ago I came up with a system I call “DunAged”. It’s a way of calibrating magnets so the pickup sounds warmer and smoother. Many pickups have magnets that are too powerful and can cause string pull. Magnets that are Strong magnets can make the pickup sound tight and harsh and slow down the string vibration."

that may not be a direct answer, but I think you get the idea

Thanks Curly :) I figured thats what Dunaged means in the general sense but I actually meant particulars

i.e. tonally will a DA A5 sound closer to an A2 type mag? more mids, softer bass, softer treble...or will it just be a A5 witha little "edge" taken off?

is the "point" of Dunaged to occupy the A3/A4 territory?

150$ with shipping included doesn't sound all that bad I guess :)

but the payment issue still stands...what to do when I can't use Paypal? It's not that I don't want. I can't cause it isn't available over here.

Have the specs come back as to the size of the 2 mis-matched coils? 6k/4k? 4.5k/5.5k? 7k/3k? Does a big or small mismatch actually sound better?

Are we to send money now or wait till Jan. 1st? I want to buy two but if a trembucker in zebra is available I would rather have one of each.

sorry, I don't really know the answer ... maybe someone else knows

it would probably take really good ears, or a Gauss meter, to compare aged A5s to other magnets

I just look at it as A5s with a little edge taken off

I have Antiquity strat and tele sets - A2, DunAged - and they sound terrific, but this will be the first pickup I've had with aged A5.

When the time comes, paypal is cool (must add 3%!), or money order cashiers check as well. I'll post the address on Jan. 1st.

Nothing working on a neck. That's not been the part of any plan.

Also, there is the chance that if you're waiting on a trem version, you might be waiting a long time.

Maybe I should get the standard spaced now, and try and save up the other $107 for a trem spaced...two is usually better then one, especially with cool special order pickups :dance:
