Brobucker selling rules?

Re: Brobucker selling rules?

Not a dumb question at all.

You can sell that pup for whatever you want, and get no grief.

Re: Brobucker selling rules?

I`ve got a Brobucker the I`m thinking of selling. I bought it brand new from the Custom Shop for $160. Now this might be a dumb question but I can try and sell it for whatever $ I ask without offending anyone? I just haven`t seen many people comment in this thread about selling a Bro that was bought after the group buy for the full Custom Shop price.

Yeah, the issue was with the idea of buying a pickup FROM A FORUM MEMBER for one price, then selling it to ANOTHER FORUM MEMBER for a higher price.

Re: Brobucker selling rules?

I can't believe this thread has went on for $6 pages. After all the arguing here's my advice.

Put it up for sale w/ a best offer. That way the selling price is between you and the buyer and no one else's business.

I've been all sides of the fence. I've gave stuff away. I've gotten stuff cheap and sold it later for a profit and I've cut some serious discounts.

I don't personally care what you do w/ it. After all this, I'd rip it apart and burn it. Hey, that's just me though.

Its not like we had anything better to do :D

Re: Brobucker selling rules?

Want mine? I'm offering it at the low low introductory price of only $200!
Plus shipping, of course.

That's got to be the ballsiest post ever. I'm guessing it is sarcasm though. Still not going to leave a good taste in the mouth of others on future deals/trades, mark my words.

Yeah dude, it was sarcasm. :chairfall

Re: Brobucker selling rules?

Hey I have an idea: After this thread, why don't you put it up for $130, and see if you get it?

If you do good for you.

Then next time there's one up for $110 see if you can get it for that?

I'd be surprised if the results weren't predictable.

Lotto Time! ( 110.00 plus shipping?)

Yeah I might be selling very soon. Got my eye on a rebuilt 289 '65 Falcon.

I'll give ya tree fiddy.

Sounds good! It's a deal.

Shipping to the UK comes out to $110. Paying with cash or credit?

Naw I'm not gonna do that. And honest to God, I wouldn't care if it was case, I would pay $250 again if I had to. I just don't have th money now.

Re: Brobucker selling rules?

You're after a Stang? I could have sworn somewhere it was for a grand the IRS hit you for?

Am I losing my mind?

Re: Brobucker selling rules?

Stang? Naw dude, Falcon.

They range from $300 to $30,000. I'm shopping in the $1-$3k range, which can get me an extremely nice one.

The one I'm looking at right now is a '65 with rebuilt interior and the 289 cu. in. (4.7L) 250hp V8. Good engine, great car. Leather bench seats. Basically, the complete stuff. The chick needs to unload it, so I'm looking at saving about $1000-$1500 over what this normally goes for on eBay.

Not fully keen on the green, but it's an easy change.

Re: Brobucker selling rules?

Yeah, the deal was you couldn't sell it unused on ebay for profit.

I love it.

Not that anybody would care what goes on in the "seymour duncan forum," the arrangement you guys have concocted is completely illegal. Just so you know.

If "jeremy" represents SD in this forum, he might want to get a clue and run this arrangement past SD's lawyers.

Thats a great idea, then we can never have forum exclusive pickups again.

That was a gentlemans agreement. Noone was gonna hold you to that in a court of law. if you woulda done it at the time, I dont know about SDUGF, but you probably woulda never worked in Rageing Beaversville again.

How can you have been on the forum since 06 and not know that Jeremy, Robert, Simon, and Scott are unpaid moderators with Evan being the VP who oversees it all?

There were no papers signed, as was mentioned before it was a gentleman's agreement. According to your join time you weren't a member when the specifics were decided and the deal made, so trying to second guess the motives is going to be fruitless.

Additionally please don't go into semantics or legalities here, no one asked if you were in the process of getting a JD.

1. Because I don't care who runs what around here.

2. It doesn't matter who is paid or unpaid.

3. A "gentleman's agreement" is even more incriminating. A "gentleman's agreement" is what landed the head of Samsung in jail.

And there's no need for you to get pissy and defensive...I'm just pointing out a fact to the clueless masses.

It would behoove you to take notice of such things.

2. It doesn't matter who is paid or unpaid.
It absolutely does, Jeremy is not an employee. As such he has no power on his own to "make something happen".

I'm not following your line of logic. The only thing Evan asked of anyone was that people not charge full CS prices for a "new" pup that they had received at a discount.

And there's no need for you to get pissy and defensive...I'm just pointing out a fact to the clueless masses.

It's easy to get pissy when someone who wasn't present when it all went down comes in and starts lecturing about legalities, while subtly taking a shot at a well respected mod.

1. How so? Do you even know what "behoove" means? Think about it.

2. Is that your expert opinion? :11:

3. At what point did I ask you if you follow my logic? If you have a question about something you don't understand - ask away. Otherwise, you can keep your confusion to yourself - can't you?

4. I'm sure it's very easy for you to get pissy. So go home and take it out on your girlfriend, or something. Or write them in your diary. But don't expect me to give a crap about anything you say...I don't even know you. Let alone give a rat's ass what you think.
