Brobucker Vs. 59/Custom Hybrid

Re: Brobucker Vs. 59/Custom Hybrid

My Dad and I hand-build our own amps. We have built two different models. Both are based off of Plexi curcuits, but we voiced them to our liking. They can nail all your different metal tones. The amp I preffer is basically a plexi, but has a switch on back to cascade the first tube stage. This turns it into a JCM800. This is the same mod Randy Rhodes used on all of his Plexis. I usually run it without this mod, and just jumper the two channels, just like you could do with a Plexi. I've dialed my amp in to nail the brown sound, but then push it a little harder. It's like brown sound on eleven. :)
