brstbucker pro bridge in neck

i was wondering what a burstbucker pro bridge could sound like in the neck position of my newly acquierd prs singlecut se.

JB is going to the bridge position.

how far off is it in tone and output in relation to the burst pro neck?

The BBP neck is 7.4k, bridge is 8.3k.

The BBPb in the neck will have a bit more output than the BBPn and will have more mids.

im afraid of it being to boomy in the neck of the singlecut.

It will be fatter & fuller sounding, less top end; more mids & low mids.

what about the top end, will it be less than the neck model? that concerns me

I always thought the neck and bridge BB Pro were exactly the same.

Yes, less top end. The more windings, the less top end & more mids.

the difference between the two is about 0.45k on my paul. [both are below 8 k.] they are wound less heavily than many popular neck pickups. my guess is that it would sound fine if set up to taste.
