BTMN Guitar Of The Week

BTMN

LifeIsGoodologist
Gibson had them a couple years ago and I got so many it seems to me, I thought I might start a semi weekly or so thing called BTMN Guitar of the Week. :cool2: Mine are NOT For Sale. :scratchch :28:

Some may feel it is a bit much :1: but I promise some cool stuff and a few nice looks at some fun guitars I own and maybe a few that others own. :1: :cool2:

Think I will start with one of my personal favorites. An idea originally done by Hamer as a custom order for a Hamer Fan Club guy and then suggested by myself at the 2005 Dean Open House to the pres of Dean. A guitar that would not have been possible had 16 others on the Dean forum not pre-ordered one with me. I felt honored all those guys liked the idea so much. Mine has had Duncan P90s put in it. A Duncan P90 2N and a Duncan P90 3B from a '96 Hamer Goldtop Artist. Thanks BadJaxx. :headbang: Had to get it routed it out a hair to fit them in. :eyecrazy:

I also wanted to sometimes feature a "Dawg Of The Week". :scratchch :approve:

To begin that I think I will feature this "Future" Guitar Of The Week. :cool2:

An LPC Explorer. Legend has it made in BC Rich's shop in Tijuana but branded with the luthier's brand instead of BC Rich. I have all the stuff to "make it so" but just aint ready to have it done yet. :welcome:

Re: BTMN Guitar Of The Week

that Z prototype is a beauty! the p90s have gotta sound great! the knobs are a cool touch too!

Re: BTMN Guitar Of The Week

That's without a doubt my favorite Dean I've ever seen.

Don't ever feel guilty posting pics of your guitars. You've got a killer collection that begs to be seen.

Re: BTMN Guitar Of The Week

This is going to be great as I`m pretty sure that you have a Hamer 'Explorer' shaped guitar that is one of the nicest looking guitars I`ve ever seen!

Re: BTMN Guitar Of The Week

Cool guitar! Love the chicken heads, and the story behind it makes it just that more interesting.

Re: BTMN Guitar Of The Week

Bella Bella !!!!
That is one gorgeous axe!
Sounds like???....

That rogue BC Rich has a shape and contours very similar to an Aria ZZ or a Takamine GX100. odd:33:

Cheers,PJ

Love the Chickenhead knobs. Who needs numbers when you have direction? :bigok: :9:

Pontiac Jack- It sounds like a big bodied P90 guitar should. Crunchy to clean and wonderful stuff in between. I Love Playing Living After Midnight on this guitar through the Solo channel of a Crate GT1200 head into a 4x12 Mesa Cabinet. :onder: With a nice Marshall and say a nice overdrive pedal it is a lot of sonic FUN.

Someday SOON, I'm afraid you guys will get to hear some clips. :ban:

To do this idea right, I'm gonna have to include clips at sometime. :eek5:

The LPC actually has cuts that are for sure BC Rich type carves. The lower horn resembles my '78 Mockingbird in the edging and size. I've had that in need for to long. I think that might be my Christmas present to myself this year. Get it Satin finished in Clear. Still not 100% what wood it is but I THINK it is Mahogany and maybe Korina. The grain seems like it but it was Red opaque at one time so who knows. I think I have as much Red off as possibble without losing the edging. The above shot was from before I stripped it more.

Re: BTMN Guitar Of The Week

I usually don't like natural finishes, but I can't picture this guitar looking better with any other sort of finish. The cream and the maple just go together.
