'Buckers to Parallel in H-S-H config

Thinking about an HSH setup with 59b/classic stack/PGn with 5 way for my mahogany strat. Was thinking about adding toggles to switch the 'buckers between series and parallel. The idea being that the parallel 'buckers would be brighter and much closer in output to a single coil and would maintain the noise cancelling properties.

Has anyone tried this? What did you think about the results?

haven't done it in an HSH guitar, but yeah, parallel wiring does lower output and gives it a slightly brighter sound. almost single coil-esque, but with a bit more of a fat humbucker sound, especially in the mids/lows.
