It's probably worth the $190 bucks but not much more. I have a friend who absolutely loves Bugera's because of their low price point, he also refers to them as throw away amp's! I'm sure he's done tube swaps in a few of the heads he owns but he'll quite literally buy them used very cheaply, run them until something breaks, and then just buy a new one!!!
His 5W sounds good & he's had it for several years now. They don't do a whole lot, pretty much a one trick pony but it does what it does well. Is there any way you can try before you buy??? Cuz if it sounds good to your ears then it's definitely a great amp & for that price if you can get a year or so out of it you'll have gotten what you paid for...
I've got & have owned some super expensive & iconic amp's, they're all pretty great for a verity of reasons!!! Regardless, I still do 90% of my playing out of a Ibanez TSA-15 head & cabinet!!! I replaced the stock speaker with a brand new Celestion Greenback & all together it's still the least expensive amp that I own....
It gives me a beautiful Fender-ish clean tone, it's got enough power to play a small club but its also small enough that I can play at 1:00am without waking up the entire building, & it's loaded with everything you could possibly need except maybe Reverb? Plus its switchable from 15W/5W & 4 8 or 16ohms, so it will plug into literally ANY cabinet I want it to, & it takes pedals like a flipping champ!!!
Really what more could you ask for???
