Build Update

It's a small one, but it is still an update. I did the position markers finally. I made a template and routed 1/16" slots in to the FB and filled them with strips of Maple. This will be the side and face markers. I haven't gotten the bridge yet. Mojotone has been out of them and they only get a shipment 2 to 3 times a year and the next one wont be in until next month. ARG....
On a good note, Seymour Duncan has charged my account for the 78 that I ordered. So it should be hear soon!!!!

Re: Build Update

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. The template I made was meant to rout all the slots at one time, but....I screwed up. So I had to position it a few times to get them all in the right spot. I will make a new one for the next time and aline the template for making the template a different way. Making that darn thing would have been far easier and faster if I had a Mill. I would like to do the same position markers on a nice Birds Eye Maple board and fill the slots with Ebony.

Re: Build Update

thats gorgeous! different without being odd. Rosewood board? Ebony inlays on a maple board would be amazing!

Re: Build Update

Thanks again. The board is Bocote. It comes from Central and South America, and is pretty dense and waxy/oily.
