Building a guitar, pickup help!!!

Let me start with this, I am not looking for a "traditional" strat tone or lp tone, I am after something new. I really want to sound like me not only in my plyaing but my equipment. Here is my idea...

Ash body (best blend of single/humbucker tones?)
maple neck
stag mag at neck
bluesbreaker at bridge

What to get for the middle? I want something that can get a decent quack and a decent punch for classic rock stuff, so I was going the route of the hsh setup with two coil splits. I hear the bluesbucker sounds lke a p-90 in full mode which would be cool for the bridge, and i love the stag mag neck so that is set. Which pickup for the middle to get some quckin goin on? Also, is this idea just stupid. I love strats, but find myself wanting a humbucker sometimes. I also only want 1 guitar, so I enjoy this process of building something that is truly me. It might not sound exactly like a vintage strat, but as long as it sounds good, i don't care.

By the way, I am using a blackface vibro champ with the SD twin tube classic. (you guys NEED to get your hands on this pedal, it is amazing!)
