Bumbox Lead 1 amp

This is a 1 watt amp made by Nathan Burkes of Bumbox Amps. The amp runs a Russian 6N1P tube for the power section and 2 12AX7's in the preamp. The amp is hand wired and was voiced to give a tone like a cranked NMV metal front Marshall, it does sound very Bon Scott era AC/DC but I cannot vouch as to how close it comes as I have not played a real Plexi/Superlead in a long time. This amp takes overdrives very well, I run an OCD in front when I want to play in the key of 80's! With a good overdrive in front it will give you Randy's tone/gain on Tribute, that being said the amp has no presence control so a brighter speaker may be better depending on your preference. The volume control has no effect on gain, with the gain maxed the amp sounds the same at 1 on the volume as it does at 8. I have recorded a few things with this amp and it sounds like a high watt amp on a recording, this was bush league digital recorder in front of the cab stuff but effective none the less. The amp will come with a power cord and a new set of JJ 12AX7's as well as what the amp shipped with (I got it used) I am looking to get $450.00 shipped. Why spend twice as much on the new 1 watt Marshall's, this will most likely sound better IMO.

Dimensions are 15"LX7"WX7"H. Please feel free to email me with any questions. No trades please.

Re: Bumbox Lead 1 amp

clips at all?

No I do not really record with any regularity as I do not gig or write music. I did the very informal recording for myself to see how the amp sounded, they have long since been erased/deleted. It was only with my IPhone4s but to me it sounded cool, kinda like World Wide Live by the scorpions. You may or may not be into that sound.
