All prices are shipped in the lower 48 states. Will ship to forum bro's anywhere else as well, we'll just have to figure out something equitable on shipping.

Seymour Duncan Tweak Fuzz - *****SOLD*****

Spina Modded Boss SD-1 - ***SOLD***
Spina Modded Boss GE-7 - ***SOLD***

DOD Graphic Equalizer - $25 This one is missing the slider knobs as well, and the level rod is missing, but the slider underneath still works. It's just a good cheap pedal if you need an equalizer but don't want to spend a load of cash.

I'll give ya $20 for the yellow paperweight and the pedal w/all the sliders on it! LOL....Sorry Jeff, just had to chime in! If and when I buy that SD pedal,I'm using my Musician's Friend card..

I gotta say that seeing my name posted in a title always scares me!

John...you can have whatever you want bro. I have debated about getting rid of these things for a while, but I'm just not using them. Not because they aren't great, I'm just not using them. I figure someone should get some good out of the great work you do brutha.

I can't make myself get rid of the CE-2 that you fixed for me though...that damn thing sounds so good, and the MIJ ones are getting hard to find..ya know?

Lord knows I don't need another SD1 and I have a brand new Boss EQ that I Modded after doing your's that I never use!

Everyone of us has sold or traded stuff for something new buddy! It's this guitarist disease we all have!

Re: Bunch Of Pedals For Sale - Spina Modded Included

Tell me about that SD-1. I am not too familiar with the pedal, and even less familiar with the mod.

Re: Bunch Of Pedals For Sale - Spina Modded Included

Well, the SD-1 is a pedal that is designed to give a warm, smooth tube like overdrive tone. It is not a super heavy distortion pedal like the Metal Zone, however, it can get some pretty decent distortion...but it's smooth, not harsh. Here is what Boss says about it:

The SD-1 produces the warm, smooth distortion of an overdriven tube amplifier while maintaining the subtle nuances of your picking technique. BOSS' unique asymmetric overdrive circuitry delivers a genuine overdrive effect for a classic guitar sound. A Tone control is also provided for precise tonal adjustment.

Then what John does as far as mods, is to replace many of the cheap components inside with upgraded ones. I guess you could equate that to putting Seymour Duncan pickups in your guitar, and replacing all of the cheap pots and caps with CTS pots and malory caps.

The tonal difference after the mods are this. The overdrive is sweeter, and there is more of it. The tone controls provide more actual useable sweep, and the overall tone of the pedal is more open and dynamic.

The Boss SD-1 is what Zakk Wylde uses in front of his JCM800 when playing live.

I hope this helps a little. It's a great pedal, made even better by John's mods. If you do a forum search, you will find loads of info on work John has done for people, and how happy they are with it.

I actually change component values and not just the the caps....Resistor values get changed,as does the original chip. There's a chip holder in the pedal so if you wanted to try a different chip, you can just pop the new one in really quick...The modded version has more lows,is smoother overall, quieter, and it has a night and day better tone over the stock unit..It's like a Tube Screamer, but is more aggressive in the gain, but the circuits are very similar..The modded SD1 seems to have more "grind"...The TS is smoother and more compressed sounding by comparison.

Re: Bunch Of Pedals For Sale - Spina Modded Included

Thanks John, you described it much better than I could.

Re: Bunch Of Pedals For Sale - Spina Modded Included

Tweak Fuzz is sold. Coupla good pedals still in here, modded by Mr. Spina.

Re: Bunch Of Pedals For Sale - Spina Modded Included

Not sure you know this or not, but that DOD EQ is a Bass EQ (hence the name FX-40B).

...and I only know this because I own one myself (bought it used) and used it for guitar for years before I did any research and found that out.

I've used it for both guitar and bass and the thing works great. I have half a mind to keep an eye out for another one to have as a backup.

Re: Bunch Of Pedals For Sale - Spina Modded Included

Thanks Skary...I didn't actually know it was a bass pedal, but it makes sense now that you say that.

The Stock SD-1 is a good pedal to overdrive your amp, or use as a lead boost. The Spina mod turns this good pedal into an awesome pedal, and sounds better than some overdrive pedals that cost 4 times as much. I will never sell my Spina modded SD-1 at any price.

Re: Bunch Of Pedals For Sale - Spina Modded Included

this is proabably a silly question that will reveal the expansive depths of my ignorance when it comes to all things overdrive/distortion/boost pedals, but here goes

how does a spina modded sd-1 compare / contrast to a hermida zendrive?

thanks

Bill...

I can't honestly answer that question, because I don't know what a Zendrive sounds like. John could probably answer this question best. This is what John says about it:

"The modded version has more lows,is smoother overall, quieter, and it has a night and day better tone over the stock unit..It's like a Tube Screamer, but is more aggressive in the gain, but the circuits are very similar..The modded SD1 seems to have more "grind"...The TS is smoother and more compressed sounding by comparison."

Re: Bunch Of Pedals For Sale - Spina Modded Included

would you consider $50 shipped for the sd-1?

Sorry, can't go that low...I've got more in it than that. I MAY have this sold. Thanks for the offer though. Merry Christmas!

Re: Bunch Of Pedals For Sale - Spina Modded Included

GE-7 is gone, SD-1 is on hold pending final PM from potential buyer. Thanks to all who have looked.
