I have a 2018 Gibson Les Paul Standard with Burstbucker Pros and I keep tweaking and tweaking, but always get a harsh, brittle sound on the bridge pup and the neck pup sounds muddy. I have an 88 gibson Explorer with a SD Pearly Gates on the bridge which blows the LP away. I've adjusted pup height on the LP but I still don't like what I get: for a warmer, creamier bluesy-classic rock sound I was considering a set of SD Slash Al II. Yay or Nay? Any suggestions?
