Burstbucker Pro vs. '59

I have 3 Les Pauls: One with Burstbucker Pro's, one with JazzN/'59b, and one with '59N/C5. 500k pots in the necks and 300k pots in the bridges of all of them.

I hear the Burstbuckers as being more 'open' sounding and slightly brighter than either of the Duncan combinations, yet still retaining a nice muscular low end. The bridge BBPro can get a little bright, and it doesn't push as hard as either the '59b or C5, but overall I feel like the Burstbuckers are a little more defined. Sometimes the Duncans feel 'smeared' by comparison, especially when swapping back to back.

What are other peoples' experiences in comparing the BBPro with Duncans?

I love BB 1/2/3's....but I DO NOT like BB Pro's.

I much prefer Duncans.

Pg is my #1 PAF style period, followed by a DiMarzio PAF, then perhaps BB 2's, and well...I'm npt reliable after PGs. They just own IMO.

Cool. I tend to prefer A5, so I've stayed away from PG's. I did have some A2Pro's and really loved the buttery sound of the neck pickup, but in the end I wanted the bottom end to be harder/tighter.
