Bushing before or after?

Starting a project this weekend just curious what the preference is. Doing a vintage 6 screw to modern 2 post conversion on a strat body with a refin. Drilling the bushing holes tomorrow and not sure if I should press them in at the same time or wait till finish is done. Thoughts?

You can fit them in before, just to do a mock up, but you don't want to spray your finish over them. If you ever needed to pull them out, you would chip, crack, and probably pull small chunks of finish off of your guitar around those holes.
