jeez man, that first pic above with the whole headstock and all is just simply amazing.....somethin about the reversed headstock makes it look so killer......almost as if its a fireball or a dragons head or somethin

you got a killer guitar on you hands there man......GOOD JOB BUTNUT!

Thanks!

I love reverse stocks, the look is one part but the longer bottom strings just ring better with the extra length and tension. The neck is pretty cool though isn't it, Brian re-shaped the headstock a bit to be cloaser to the late 60's Fenders before spraying it. I have a matching neck on my lefty Strat to near the same specs. The necks were made by USA Custom Guitars, first rate build quality. Maple necks with ebony boards and paua abalone dots, the large reverse tiltback head stocks took some effort on Tommy's part but it was worth the wait, he should have them in the computer now so I will probably order another and change the neck on my pinstriped Tele to match as well. Nice guy to deal with and the necks are really fantastic.

Re: butnut's Kustom paint

The Telemodders link with the pics has the low-down on the pups...they sound like a wicked match.

i cant believe nobody has asked, what pups you have in there?

The pups are an SD custom shop BG1400 (BG as in Billy Gibbons) I got from Falstaff awhile back and the neck is a 59n I got from someone here and put an AllParts cover on. Running 500k pots with .022 OD cap, the tone is a PP pot to tap the BG1400 from 28k down to 14k.

28k :saeek:

I needed a pup to match the paint

It's also got a totally kustom butnut control plate and toggle plate, forgot to mention that.

Re: butnut's Kustom paint

I've got a good friend that has a production company, you know how many times we've talked about doing a guitar based show? Maybe we'll get it done someday.

Pimp My Guitar! Brian you've got to cover your teeth in aluminum foil for some extra bling effect, heehee!

Re: butnut's Kustom paint

That is the freakinest sweet guitar EVER. It would be cool with a normal Tele neck, but with the reverse Strat neck... wow... amazing.

Re: butnut's Kustom paint

Brian's switchplate says it all...

HOLY CRAP!!!!!

The headstock alone is totally over-the-top and awesome. The whole package just knocks me out. Can't wait to hear those clips Wattage!

"Pimp My Guitar" is an idea whose time has come :D

Who wants faded denim when you can "burn, baby, burn!"

Re: butnut's Kustom paint

Beautiful job butnut! Also nice to see that we live in the same place! I didn't know that anyone around here did such excellent custom painting. I'll have to keep you in mind if I ever want to have my own episode of "Pimp My Axe". Keep up the great work!

Re: butnut's Kustom paint

Tanks brah! Lemme know if ya wanna talk paint, also if you have any stuff you wanna trade or sell as I seem to always be working on something for my kids or myself, it's an addiction. Aloha

Re: butnut's Kustom paint

Kool axe Wattage ! I like it !

Great Job , Brian , as always . You're a freakin' Telemodder man !!

:cool3:

Re: butnut's Kustom paint

THAT IS THE MOST ROCKIN TELE ON EARTH!!! :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

Re: butnut's Kustom paint

It's so nice to hear the great response on Wattage's new axe. He and I are alike on so many levels, it really was like I was working on my own axe, we threw some ideas around and connected the dots. The flame layout was taken from an existing Tele with a few changes on my part to make it flow better as the other Tele had a pickguard and the tips went under the control plate...it is a rockin' Tele and I'm very pleased it turned out well and you guys all dig it, I know Watts is. Unlike me, I KNOW he has the chops to play that Tele and make it burn...I'm painting his friend Chris's Harley in a similar theme, it's really gonna burn!
