Now I don't get this but I'm not that smart so maybe it makes sense. Here is a whole Slash designed guitar for less then the Seymour Duncan Slash pickup set:

It may have to do with the fact that it's an Epiphone, made in China with ceramic pickups...

It's probably a dressed up Lp special 2 with a bolt on neck and no real signature parts.

I'm pretty sure Slash did not design the LP guitar, unless he's responsible for the bolt on which an LP ain't supposed to have:2: Yes, it is simply an Epi Special made to look a bit like a Slash LP.

I have a Slash prototype set that he used (and rejected), so I am pretty sure those would be worth more than at least an Epi.

The biggest tragedy about this guitar is that the tuners are crap, but they put some dumb pickup ring with a chromatic tuner built into it.

Classic Gibson decision-making skills.

Since Slash was playing an old Memphis LP Asian copy maybe this guitar really is the most accurate reproduction of his actual guitar you can find.

According to Guns and Roses guitarist Slash, his first guitar was a Memphis Les Paul copy. "That was my first electric guitar, and that was pretty special to me up until I learned that that wasn't really that great a guitar!" he says at (0:30).

If it is a crappy guitar why would Slash let his name be all over it? I read somewhere that he helped design the pickups.

His copy was handmade by a luthier, not in Asia
